Suhman 200TPH Crusher In the River Project
In Shandong Province, China, a river improvement project undertaken by a Chinese group required widening the river channel and removing sand and gravel from the riverbed. The project manager found us through a referral from one of our clients, and we successfully partnered with them. Excavators were used for the channel widening, followed by Suhman equipment to process the sand and gravel. This not only corrected the river channel but also, in the context of scarce sand and gravel resources, utilized advanced mobile crushing and screening technology to achieve the goal of "turning waste into treasure."
I. Project Preparation
Part of the river channel had long been in a state of natural siltation, with rising water levels and reduced water storage capacity being the primary issues. In the early stages of the project, the large amount of dredged silt and hard bluestone from the riverbed posed a significant challenge—traditional methods of transporting it out and then processing it were costly and environmentally damaging. How to solve this problem on-site and transform the sand and gravel into valuable building materials directly for urban construction became crucial to the project's success.
Against this backdrop, Suhman decisively connected with the project manager. Because the material contained a high proportion of silt and medium-hardness bluestone, we used an SF-380 impact crusher with a conveyor belt and an SS-6518 inclined screen. The impact crusher can break large stones into various sizes, and the screening machine separates the finished products of different sizes to meet other production needs, such as road construction and maintenance, civil concrete manufacturing, and foundation reinforcement. This achieves on-site excavation, on-site processing, and direct transportation to where needed.
II. About Crushing and Screening Equipment: The Outstanding Performance of the SF and SS Series Equipment
During this 15-month-long intensive project, the SF-380D and SS-6518 production lines demonstrated amazing performance advantages.

- High-Efficiency Crushing
To address the silt and sand in the aggregate, we added a pre-screening system to the impact crusher, which removes silt and smaller stones from the raw materials, increasing the crusher's efficiency by 30%. The high-powered power system enables the crusher rotor to continuously impact the bluestone with the hammers, thoroughly crushing it. Wear-resistant consumables ensure that the pendulum and liners steadily provide and catch the impact of the stones, efficiently crushing them to the target size. This solves the problems of traditional crushers being prone to jamming due to mud and sand and the rapid wear of consumable parts, undoubtedly significantly reducing costs. - Precise and Efficient Screening System
The crushed material then enters the SS-6518 screening station. This equipment is equipped with multi-layer vibrating screens, capable of accurately separating finished aggregates of various specifications, such as 0-5mm river sand, 5-10mm, and 10-22mm. This production line ensures that every grain of sand and gravel produced meets production standards, providing raw materials for urban road construction and maintenance, and can also be processed into concrete for civil construction. It transforms waste sand and gravel that was previously unmanageable into building materials that can be sold at a high price. - Production Capacity and Stability
During the project, this production line maintained a high output of 3,500 tons per day, producing a cumulative total of 1.1 million tons of various finished aggregates. Throughout the rainy season and high-temperature operating conditions, the equipment maintained a low failure rate and stable continuous operation, ensuring timely progress in river channel construction and prompt supply of aggregates. The production manager stated, "Previously, I needed to track the progress of every project daily. Since using Suhman's solution, the daily processing progress and aggregate production volume are almost identical. Therefore, I no longer need to go to the site every day; I only need to know if they've started work!" - Equipment Advantages This project is an urban river channel improvement project, unlike mining which is fixed in one place and requires constant relocation to follow the excavation progress. Suhman excels in this aspect, employing a tracked self-propelled mobile system. Whether it's rugged terrain or muddy riverbanks, it can go wherever excavators can go. This perfectly meets the project requirements, and the manager is extremely satisfied. Furthermore, because it operates in an urban area, frequently passing through residential areas, and sometimes requiring nighttime operation, noise pollution is extremely important. Suhman had taken this into account. With years of experience, their engineers had perfectly designed the structure, ensuring the noise levels remained well below government regulations. Combined with specially installed soundproofing materials, the project proceeded smoothly without any resident complaints. On the contrary, the unique shape and attractive machinery often drew crowds of onlookers.
III. Win-Win Benefits: River Remediation and Building Aggregates
This innovative construction solution brought far more benefits than expected.
Significant Ecological and Engineering Benefits: On-site dredging and crushing solved the transportation problem of hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of river sand and gravel. Previously, these materials needed to be transported elsewhere for processing before being delivered to where they were needed. Now, they are processed on-site and immediately used for road and housing construction. This not only saved a significant amount of money but also reduced carbon emissions, contributing to environmental protection.
Impressive Economic Benefits: Statistics show that within the approximately 15-month project period, the use of their own equipment to process river materials alone generated nearly 10 million yuan in revenue for the client group. This does not include the substantial indirect benefits and transportation costs resulting from savings in purchasing external sand and gravel. Furthermore, both machines remained in excellent condition after the project's completion and can be directly transferred to support other projects, continuing to generate value. The operator stated: "After cleaning, these machines are practically brand new. Aside from a few replacement consumable parts, everything else is original. Even if no other projects require equipment support, selling them now wouldn't result in a significant loss."
IV. Conclusion
The success of this project is a prime example of the perfect combination of Luqiao's sophisticated construction technology and our company's high-end crushing equipment. It not only demonstrates the superior adaptability and economy of the SF-380D and SS-6518 series mobile crushing and screening equipment under complex working conditions, but also highlights our commitment as an equipment supplier to providing customers with comprehensive lifecycle solutions. (Additionally, the SS-6518 has now been upgraded to the SS-7018, meaning greater output and more precise screening.)
Currently, we have established a deep strategic partnership with this Luqiao Group. In the future, whatever challenges our clients encounter in mining, solid waste recycling, or road construction, we will provide the most suitable equipment support and technical assurance as soon as possible. Because we know that every crushing operation contributes to building a stronger future.
